un proyecto realizado para Conversaciones en Gonwana
La pieza consiste en una video instalación de dos canales, donde dos voces tejen una narrativa visual hecha de historias fragmentadas, recuerdos e informaciones sobre sus territorios, uno en América del Sur y otro en África Occidental, tratando de encontrar los hilos que aún unen esos dos territorios distantes que alguna vez fueron uno.
La conversación entre estas dos voces funciona como un puzle incompleto que solo puede ser completado con todas las demás informaciones, los recuerdos y las historias que aún no han sido contadas.
The piece consists of a two-channel video installation, where two voices weave together a visual narrative made out of fragmented stories, memories, and pieces of information about their homelands, one in South America and the other one in West Africa, trying to find the threads that still link these two distant territories that were once part of the same.
The conversation between these two voices works as an incomplete puzzle that has to be completed with all of the other stories, memories, and pieces of information that are still not told.
