La pieza consiste en un conjunto de mapas de ciudades hispanoamericanas cortados en tiras y tejidos entre sí para formar un tapiz. El diseño de este tejido superpone patrones inspirados en la iconografía textil precolombina y en el diagrama urbano utilizado por los españoles para la fundación de las primeras ciudades en América durante la colonización.
El tapiz entreteje dos relatos contrapuestos por el cánon histórico y crea una superficie común a ambos, donde otro relato sobre el territorio emerge.

The piece consists of a set of maps of Latin American cities cut into strips and woven together to form a tapestry. The design of this fabric overlaps patterns inspired by pre-Columbian textile iconography and the urban diagram used by the Spaniards for the foundation of the first cities in America during colonization.
The tapestry weaves two stories opposed by the historical canon and creates a shared surface to both, where another story about the territory emerges.
